Sponsor Spotlight: ThemeWarrior

ThemeWarrior was founded on July 2010 by Yogi, a web designer from Jakarta, Indonesia. We sell premium WordPress themes, so literally WordPress runs in our blood.

Why WordPress?

WordPress is a state of the art content management system and used by probably millions of people around the world. We love how easy it is to manage contents and do everything in WordPress. WordPress also has a great community and you gotta love WordPress Codex!

Why did you decide to get involved and sponsor WordCamp Cape Town 2011?

This is the first time we’re sponsoring international WordCamp event, previously we sponsored WordCamp Indonesia back in 2010.

It also an honor to us to sponsor a WordPress-related event such as WordCamp and I also think it’s a great opportunity to introduce our themes to more people.

What are your thoughts on the WordPress community as a whole? And the South African WP community?

I think WordPress has the biggest community amongts other competitor, you can see how big it is just by counting how many WordCamp are held each year around the world.

What are you most looking forward to at WordCamp Cape Town?

I’m not attending WordCamp Cape Town but would love to see / hear it if there’s a live streaming available. I’m looking forward to see David Perel & Marc Perel presentations.

Who in the WordPress community inspires you? Who do you follow?

Matt (of course), Adii Rockstar of WooThemes, Ryan Imel, Orman Clark. There are so many of them and I can’t mention them all in this post.

What is the most exciting improvement to WordPress that you have noticed in the last year?

Custom post type & taxonomy for sure, I’ve been a fan of Drupal CCK and it’s nice to see that WordPress finally has the ability to do almost the same. I’m excited to see what improvement will be brought to this feature in the future release of WordPress.

Where do you see WordPress 2 years from now?

I see more and more people will use WordPress for many purposes and a lot of people earn their living from WordPress.
